Fanying is an active supporter of the Linux community and its support organizations.

Fanying has been a pioneer in commercializing and industrializing Linux and open source for use in the enterprise including the financial services industry. He has been contributing knowledge and expertise in enterprise systems integration and information security. Fanying has received a Bachelor of Engineering, Computer Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and Linux certificates from both Linux Professional Institute and Sair Linux and GNU Certification.
